NewsStand Renewal:

In order to renew your newsstand permit, you must obtain "Public Liability" insurance as stated in the Los Angeles Municipal Code; Section 42.00 (f)(6) requiring insurance to maintain "Newsstands". This insurance is for the City to be "additionally insured" and does not cover fire or theft.

The City of Los Angeles has an Insurance Company that you can call for information in obtaining insurance. The minimum coverage is $500,000. However, the City sponsored company minimum coverage is $1,000,000. You can call any other insurance company if you wish.
